Breakfast at Another Broken Egg (8:30 – 9:30am)
Another Broken Egg is a local favorite with a great breakfast selection and hair of the dog bloodys. Tuck into lobster and brie omelette, huevos rancheros or granola fruit and quinoa power bowl and share some cinnamon roll French toast between you. Order a Spiked Salted Caramel Cold Brew to-go and lo and behold, you’re back on track!
Beach day south of Pier 60 (9:45 – 1pm)
You’re gonna want to park around Pier 60 today for some awesome people action. There’s cabana and sun chair rental along the beach, and we suggest you plant yourself just south of the iconic Pier 60.
Lunch at Badfins Food + Brew (1 – 2:30pm)
Walk down to Wyndham Grand, where you’ll also find Badfins Food + Brew! It is situated right on the boardwalk, with a great ambience and some of the tastiest seafood and Mexican food in town. Plus, you can already familiarize yourself with some local craft beers here.
Afternoon chill (2:30 – 4 pm)
Time to digest your lunch! Just head back onto the beach, this time just spread your towel in the sand for an afternoon slumber. Around 4pm you’re gonna want to head back to your accommodation to freshen up, throw on some strappy heels and head back out for a breathtaking sunset cruise. (Note, you will be asked to remove your strappy heels momentarily for the actual cruise.)
Kai Lani Sunset cruise (6:45pm – 8:45pm) *arrive min 20 mins ahead of schedule
As everything here revolves around water, there are many cruise providers to choose from, including more boozy versions, such as the Calypso Queen with all you can eat and drink, if that’s more your vibe. But today you’ll be going for a relaxing cruise on the Kai Lani catamaran (*top tip: they also do Sangria Sunset Sundays), with chances of spotting dolphins. Enjoy salt life sipping on a glass of wine as the sunset does its beautiful thing, and the warm breeze makes you feel positively giddy. #squadgoals.
Once you get back to shore, you make your way south of Pier 60 for some nosh-up! You could hit up Salty’s for sit-down dinner.
Late Dinner at Salty’s Island Grille (9 – 10:15pm)
Salty’s is another must-try on your trip, serving up delectable chef-inspired dishes for a taste of island life. Order their baked oyster sampler, coconut shrimp bites with piña colada sauce, Ahi tuna and finish it all with smooth, tangy sweet key lime pie that literally melts in your mouth.
Alternatively, you could also head straight for the beloved Taco Bus – a Clearwater Beach mainstay – conveniently situated within traipsing distance of Shephards, to fuel up for the night ahead.
Optional dessert at Ice&Cream Creamery (10:15 – 10:30pm)
If your only sugar intake has been the rim of Margarita glasses up to this point, consider stopping at Ice&Cream Creamery for some locally made Watermelon Sorbet, indulgent Red Velvet Cake or zesty Key Lime Sherbet.
Party the night away at Shephards (10:30 – late)
Ask anyone, and they’ll tell you Shephards is the place to be on the weekends. The resort houses the poolside Tiki Beach Bar & Grill, a tequila bar, tap room, and the infamous Wave Night Club. You’re in for an epic night fueled by EDM DJs, indecently priced Malibu buckets and slashed Champagne prices.
