Breakfast at Clear Sky Cafe (10:30 – 12 pm)
Now, it may seem a little cruel with a fishing trip right after your night out last night, but no sweat. Just aim for a half-day trip starting later in the day. But first, breakfast! Nothing eases you into Gulf-vacay mode like a salty breezy while sipping on a prickly Bloody Mary over at local favorite Clear Sky Cafe. A tried and tested hair of the dog, coupled with a huge selection of scrumptious breakfast fare. The place is unilaterally voted as one of the best breakfast joints in the area, and for good reason. Pick anything on the menu, and you are off to a great start to the day!
Half-day Salt Life Deep-Sea Fishing Trip (1 – 5 pm)
There are many solid providers in the area, and the half-day trip from Double Eagle departs at a comfortable 1pm returning at 5pm. (For the more avid fishing fans, you could also rent a private charter over at Clearwater Fishing from $500 for 6 passengers, departing from Dunedin Marina. This one runs a little further offshore, with the half-day tour departing at 11 with empty coolers for you to stack with beer cans of choice.) Get ready for a taste of salt life!
Snack at the Bait House (5:15 – 6:30 pm)
We bet you’ll be famished when pulling back in to shore, so go ahead and grab a quick bite at the Bait House right on the docks. They’ll even prepare and cook any fish you caught! Or, you can order their famous Drunken Shrimp and split the fresh catch sampler plate between you. Then return to your accommodation to shower off the Gulf-sweat and gear up for one of the best steaks you’ve had in the long time.
Upscale dinner at Blinkers Beachside (8:30 – 10pm)
Originally a Kentucky mainstay, Blinkers continues to serve up some of the juiciest steaks in the county. Kick thing off with some crisp fried lobster and truffle fries appetizer before moving onto a meaty main.
Pub Night at The Brown Boxer, North Beach (10:15 – end)
Sometimes nothing beats a good old sports and pub night, and over at the Brown Boxer you’ve got two whole levels of fun. Play some casual pool and arcade games, and catch a game on any of the flat screens accompanied by live entertainment. Mission complete.
